Alvin S. Erb

Alvin S. Erb, 96 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday evening, February 26th, 2026 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Wayne County, Ohio on January 3rd, 1930 to the late Sam L. and Lydia (Shetler) Erb. Alvin is once again reunited with his loving wife, Sarah (Troyer) Erb who died October 5th, 2002. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

He will be missed by: his children, Phineas (Ada) Erb, Ida (Joe) Troyer, Roy (Ada) Erb; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and many, nieces and nephews, and friends. 

Alvin is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sarah; daughters, Marie Erb and Ruth Erb; 1 grandchild; and 1 brother.   

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SUNDAY, MARCH 1ST, 2026 AT 17642 NAUVOO RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Melvin Mast officiating. Pallbearers will be Reuben Miller, Marvin Miller, Joey Byler, and Matt Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Alvin’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery, Middlefield, Twp, Ohio.
