Leonard J. Clemson

Leonard J. Clemson, 73, of Huntsburg, OH, passed away Monday evening, February 23rd, 2026, at UH-Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Warren, OH on June 18th, 1952, to the late Lester and Laverne (Popovic) Clemson. Leonard, better known as Lenny, later married his best friend and love of his life, Gloria “Joy” Ehrhart on August 20th, 1977.

Lenny found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found camping beneath the trees, sitting quietly by a campfire, or exploring the beauty of nature around him. Whether it was watching wildlife in their natural habitat or sharing stories under an open sky, Lenny felt most at peace surrounded by the sights and sounds of the outdoors. 

Above all else, Lenny treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and an especially loving grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to attend their activities, share a laugh, offer guidance, or simply spend time together.

He will be remembered for his deep love of nature, his quiet strength, and the unwavering devotion he showed to those he loved most.

Leonard will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 48 years; Joy; children, Kent (Sara) Clemson, Kasie (Scott) Phelps; grandchildren, Madilyn, Abigail, Anthony, Mia; sister, Linda Turnbull; brother-in-law, Charlie (Debra) Ehrhart; nephew, Dusty Ehrhart; other loving nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Bud and Kathy Ehrhart and Richard Turnbull.
